Driving across the Ingraham Street Bridge from Vacation Island you get a great view of luxury homes that wrap around Crown Point. As you get to the tip of the point, you can turn left on Rivera Drive or turn right on Crown Point Drive. Riviera Drive curves along the western edge of the peninsula and has some of the area's most-expensive homes. Crown Point Drive curves around the eastern edge where there is a large park popular with residents and visitors alike. Ingraham Street goes through the center of the peninsula and the neighborhood is bounded by Pacific Beach Drive in the north.

Jay Becker and his wife have lived in Pacific Beach for many years and moved to Crown Point six years ago. There are also many students and young professionals that live in the area," he said.

Prices for single-family homes in Crown Point range from $1 million-$8 million according to Becker. "The homes along entire half circle are bay front residences that are predominantly detached, single family homes. They have beautiful bay views and the ones right on the sand can sell for up to eight million dollars," he said. Condominiums and townhouses are also available here with prices starting in the low $300,000s.

Along the eastern edge, Crown Point Park is a popular place for visitors and residents. The park features picnic tables, fire rings and barbecue grills, a boat launch and basketball courts. The park also has free parking, restrooms and showers. This a great place for family picnics or large gatherings and the park has plenty of room for soccer, football and volleyball games.

For dining, there is coffee and pastries from Crown Point Coffee (3510 Ingraham) or go next door to Café by the Bay for smoothies and healthy sandwiches. A few blocks north, on the corner of Ingraham and La Playa Avenue, food and drinks are served at three longtime San Diego establishments: Rocky's Crown Pub (3786 Ingraham), The Menu Restaurant (3784 Ingraham) and Big Kahuna's (3780 Ingraham). In nearby Pacific Beach, along the avenues of Grand and Garnet, there are unlimited options for dining, shopping and entertainment.

"One of the best features of living here is the jogging path that goes around Mission Bay," said Becker. Everyday there are people walking, riding bikes and jogging along the picturesque paths and sidewalks. "When you have a lot of folks being athletic, right in front of you everyday, it encourages you to stay out and be active," he said.

Crown Point is a charming neighborhood that is perfect for enjoying an active lifestyle. It's also a great place to just relax and watch sailboats cruising by. On many evenings you can watch dazzling fireworks from Sea World light up the sky. For visitors and residents the sparkling view from Crown Point is postcard-perfect all year long.
